Anyone a long way from home?

If so, what do you miss?

There are many things I miss and where possible I recreate.

Yesterday,  I had a hankering for something sweet, so I made apple crumble; it just wasn't the same without custard (yeah, I know, I could have have made it with egg yolks and vanilla, but ...)

And, previously, I was dieing for pork pies and was forced to make them too to satisfy my craving (however, mace (not the metallic club used at reunion parties, but the spice,) is not readily available, so had to do without.

But, apart from English draught ale, the thing I miss most is good cheese. Brazilian cheese makes fromunda cheese look good. So many funny stories about real English Cheddar!

As an aside, why do you Americans insist on painting it orange?

Yep, that's exactly where I am, but I'm certainly not Brazilian.

Where are you from originally?

Good question and not quite so easy to give a simple answer.

But here is a quick run down.

I was born in England, but was kidnapped when I was a few weeks old and taken to Ireland, being returned to my family when I was 18 months old. then, when I was an adolescent, I moved to Australia and lived there on and off for more than twenty years. That being said, my formative years were very influential and it is there that my heart calls home.

How come you left Australia? Man, if I could ever find my way to Australia, I would never leave, funnel web spiders or no.

There were many reasons I left Australia, but the principal one was that I saw the decline in the country from an easy going, laid back country into a fascist dictator state and a proving ground for the NWO.

I was thinking that when I wrote my response. Oh, the irony, to end up in Brazil.

In all fairness, I did only come here for a three week holiday.

On the plus side, it has afforded me the opportunity (nay, the necessity,) to learn another language and discover a very different culture or should I say cultures as Brazil is massive and each state has it's own idiosyncrasies, much like the US, I would imagine.

However, my time in the land of gorgeous girls, dental floss bikinis and samba is drawing to an end. I shall probably be out of here by the end of the year.

I suspect my final destination will be Europe, specifically Britain, but then the cold and damp will get me down and I'll be hankering after warmer climes in no time. Perhaps I'll check out Porkugal as I now can at least communicate with them.

Have you ever been, or would you ever consider, coming to the US?

I have been far from 'home' since I was 4 years old.

I only return for funerals and weddings.

Why, I'm not really sure anymore.

No, wait... I have a new home.

It's not so much wherever I lay my hat but where my children live.

Funny thing is, wherever I lay my hat IS my home, but that doesn't stop my heart!

NWO is established there in England. It is much worse than Australia at this stage.

Pouts and sobs. Yeah, I know, I'm fucked no matter what I do! Fuck it! I'm gonna build an island and declare sovereignty.

Shit! All the world's oceans have already been claimed! Death to someone is the only answer.
